I wasn’t connecting w the characters & i felt like the FMC was giving me “pick me” vibes and as shitty as the ex wife was, I’m not too big on books bringing woman down for their natural bodies & the ex wife having a rectangular body and pointing out her lack of curves was unnecessary. I could look past it but I’m reading for pleasure and i didn’t feel like reading 500+ pages of petty comments like that & i read a few other reviews that the H is very hot & cold, then doesn’t grove after an awful breakup. Groveling is a big deal for me.
I have the highlights on so you can see what i didn’t like, it just was not for me but other than the main characters just being a miss for me, this could be a great book!

Read this “for fun” after a snippet popped up on insta. Overall, it was okay but I kind of hated how the MMC talked to the FMC…like wouldn’t take no for an answer and continually told her to shut up….wasn’t really vibing with it at the end.

Pro's - theres good humor by this author
Con's - The male lead, the "promise land", the handling of virgin storyline, etc.
The heroine often referring to "the promise land" was the biggest turn off, not to mention the virgin aspect of this 26 year old character - the virgin part not being the issue, but the way its handled was very cringy. I feel like there is a thin line between hot asshole male lead and just overbearing, toxic male lead and this book strayed abit too far over the line for me to really find Cam redeeming.
In all, its probably for some, but I wasn't sad to finish it.

15% - Not very body positive. FMC is “so small, so petite, but yet so curvy. Its fine for an FMC to be thin but I have already been reminded of this like 5 times. And the MMC only lives to stare at her boobs. Ex-wife is “looks like a rectangle” apparently…grow up.
30% - why does the FMC call the prospect of losing her virginity the future promised land? Please kill me now

J'ai ADORÉ ce dernier livre et je suis tellement dégoutée que ce soit le dernier ><
Paige était tellement amusante (sarcastique et j'ai adoré la façon dont elle s'est battue pour obtenir le boulot de ses rêves =)), j'ai adoré la voir interagir avec Cam (même si parfois, j'ai eu envie de le frapper surtout quand il découvre UH !!)
Bref, un livre et une série similaire en un sens aux livres de Kristen Ashley donc je le recommande chaudement aux fans de romance contempo légère et amusante =)

Paige was so amusing (sarcastic, sassy and I loved the way she fought to get the job of her dreams =)), I loved seeing her interact with Cam (although sometimes I wanted to hit him especially when he discovers thatUH !!)
In short, a book and a series similar in a sense to the books of Kristen Ashley so I warmly recommend it to all the fans of contempo romance light and fun =)

Whew
Made me a little mad, but once Cam dug his head out of his own rump, I melted like ‘buttah’ on a hot summer day. Homeboy was basically a sour patch kid, while Paige was a marshmallow.
The kids were sweet, the creep factor was the right amount, and the family vibes were impeccable.
This was 4.5 for me.

The MMC is not a nice dude. He’s basically a misogynist and I DNFed this after the scene where he shows up at her house AFTER he acted like a total tool that she was a virgin. Then, even though she makes it EXTREMELY clear she is uncomfortable and not enthusiastically consenting, he consoles, dominates and basically manipulates her into further sexual activity. He’s an asshole, with a temper and zero respect for true consent.
