I’m absolutely amazed by this book. It’s short, but full of beautiful quotes and gives everyone the chance to interpret it in their own way. It’s a very quick read. The only thing I didn’t like was the sad ending, but it still leaves room to believe that the Little Prince came back to his rose.
I think of the immensely popular books, this one and the Alchemist are tied in being the ones that I hate the most.
Let's just say that this would be a perfect book if you're looking for something absolutely pretentious. This book is so pretentious that it makes a rubber duck look like a phoenix.

I can't believe I had never read this until now. I loved everything about this. I really enjoyed the narrator and the way the illustrations tied into the story. I loved the reflective nature of this. The simplicity of childhood and the things that are important and how we often lose that as we get older. How other people play a part in that as they tell us what should or shouldn't be important. I loved the touch of grief and loss. A simple but beautiful story.
