Maybe I'm biased because I already love all things Monty Python related, but I loved reading this book. I frequently burst out laughing and was impressed that he managed to cover such a legendary life in under 300 pages and while leaving out a lot of the specifics of the naughty bits.

Another memoir I wanted to be longer. Definitely recommend listening to Idle read it himself.

Fun book, mostly due to the endless anecdotes he gives about Python, The Rolling Stones, Spamalot, George Harrison, Robin Williams and a lot more. Considering his upbringing, it’s kind of a miracle he ended up the way he did. I guess it’s okay to name drop in a book about your professional comedy, writing and acting career.

Moderate: Cursing, Terminal illness
The majority of the book deserves three stars but the chapters serving as tribute to his late friends George Harrison and Robin Williams are so lovely and moving that they deserve a star all of their own.
It would be much better and funnier if it toned down the name dropping.
