It would be much better and funnier if it toned down the name dropping.

I enjoyed the absolute hell out of this book. “Sortabiography” is right—this isn’t an exact point-A-to-point-B autobiography so much as it is a collection of related events in mostly chronological order. Idle spends most of the book looking at his pre- and post-Flying Circus career, and the friendships and relationships he made therein. His wit and sense of humor shine, and I’d heartily recommend this for any Python fan.
It is everything you hope and expect. Listen to the audiobook to hear Idle narrate his own story.

Breezy, sweet, and delightful romp through mostly Monty Python from Idle's perspective.
One of those celebrities that has truly hobnobbed with some of the biggest names in showbusiness.
DNF. Couldn't read "men are jerks who think with their dicks" as if it excused bad behavior one more time.
I listened to the audiobook format of this book (read by the author himself) and enjoyed every minute of it. While containing many humorous bits such as his many exploits in his youth, Eric Idle also talks through the losses he has faced and his love for his wife, family, and friends really shine through in this book.
Extremely long but extremely funny. Idle is undeniably brilliant, and I really enjoyed his straightforward (i.e., look elsewhere for false modesty) take on what has been an extraordinary life. I giggled and guffawed. The speeches he’s given in honor of various friends over the years are the best part.
