I cannot describe how much I love this book! It went beyond what I expected even for Native representation in YA and was just so brilliant. I cried several times and want to reread to fall in love with the community over again. Recommend 1000%!!!!

I started this book a year ago, got five chapters in and stopped for some reason. I must have gotten hooked on another book or been busy wedding planning. This book was chosen as our book club book, so it was nice to start over and re-immerse myself in the book. Beautiful, heartbreaking, shocking story that I overall loved.

this book is so insightful to native american traditions and tells a great story. what happens near the end is unexpected and it wraps up well.

actually pretty good in terms of ya thrillers. it was hard to suspend my disbelief at certain points and i partially guessed the twist, but that didn’t stop that last 100 pages from being extremely exciting!

I gave 4 stars because I had problems with the main character at times especially when she was giving off “not like other girls” vibes. However… it has been months since I’ve read this book and it has stayed in my mind ever since. I’ve realized that I keep wanting more from the story. The beginning of the book had some slow moments, but that ending was a thrill and I couldn’t put it down.
