Very short, but well written. It is exactly what it says it is - a concise overview of Greek history and mythology. Obviously, it doesn't go in depth into the 2000+ year history since it is such a short book. However, it is a wonderful introduction to these topics and I would recommend for anyone interested starting to learn about Greek history.

Disappointingly Short.
Unfortunately while the book is well written and clear to the average reader, it just doesn't have enough in it. For a book that covers nearly 2000+ years of history, a short one hour read doesn't seem to be enough. This book hits the wave tops of Greek civil history without truly going in depth at all. Would recommend this book as quick preface to actually studying ancient Greek history.
