It’s been a while since I read a thriller and this book has reminded me of how much I *love* thrillers! This is the second book by Alex Lake that I’ve read and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed both.

The psychological suspense in Killing Kate was stellar. A literal page turner from the start. I loved following both Kate and Phil’s POVs throughout,  travelling  back in time for more pieces of the puzzle, and seeing how it all pieced together. I also loved playing the “who done it?” guessing game before finally learning who it was.

The killer is deeply disturbed and their plans are graphic and violent.

The ending wrapped everything up perfectly. Highly recommend.

What in the Scooby-doo? All that was needed was some literal unmasking and a few jinkies. Even though you knew almost immediately who the killer was after meeting him in the book, all the extra steps to get the killer back in play were something else. It wasn't a boring read. It did have me setting there saying"oh, seriously?" More often than once.
