I liked this volume better than the previous two, but it feels like the energy and creativity of the series is petering out. At this point I'm not sure where else Harris can take the characters, it's just not feeling like there's much more story left to be told beyond a bit of political positioning and general relationship crud. This book is well told, and it's stronger overall than the previous two, but the series is losing it's compelling draw for me.
This one is not my favorite of the series, but still a decent distraction.
Another fantastic Sookie book. Wish I had ShowTime to watch True Blood. Hurry up and write another one, Charlaine!
Always a fan of the Sookie Stackhouse novels. Seems like I read through each one quicker than the last. Much easier to stay interested in this particular volume than the last one though.
Ugh... another good Sookie book. The ending definitely leaves room for another one! This one (if possible) seemed to have more drama than some of the previous ones... very interesting, another book I couldn't put down!
I would give this a solid 3/3.5 just because I did enjoy it a lot more than Dead in the Family. There's a lot more action and explanation in this book. I would give it a try if you didn't like the previous book.

The ending of the entire Southern Vampire series seemed so rushed! I listened to it in audio format the first time I read it, and at the end I genuinely thought I'd reached the end of a section, not the end of the book/series entirely.
