Anticipation for this new Sookie book was high and I felt let down. The action begins in the last 40 pages of the book, and did not live up to the brilliantly described action scenes in All Together Dead. The ending left many questions, it was almost Harry Potter-esque, where Dumbledore (in this case Mr. Cataliades) comes to explain as little as Harry (Sookie) can handle. I could have waited a little longer for a better plot.

Just so fun!

I'm so obsessed with these Sookie stories! I love every time a new supe is introduced, all of the romance and of course the sex. Great light reading.

Loved it, as usual....now she needs to get on writing some more! :D

Finally done with the Pelts.
Finally know where telepathy comes from.
Love Hunter.

And I don't know what to think about Eric.

Eric and Pam are keeping secrets, Merlotte’s is under attack and Sookie is fighting for her life at every turn. To add to her stress, she keeps uncovering secrets about her family and she needs answers.

So much Bubba. The best book for Bubba content so far. Obviously there is still a lot of unanswered questions, which is getting a bit annoying. There are probably less after this book but I am waiting for the big dramatic reveals and the astonishing plot twists which aren’t really coming. There was a nice dramatic finale in this one, but it’s planned by the characters all throughout the book and by the end it kind of has you getting tired of them and just wanting them to get on with it. I do feel like the kid on the tricycle waiting outside of the incredibles house. I am hoping in the next couple of books this series really makes up for everything. I am really enjoying the series, I am emotionally invested in the characters and I want the best for them.

This book was much better then the previous book, Dead in the Family...thankfully!! And I'm glad the Eric/Sookie troubles weren't as bad as I feared when hearing the rumors. *whew* I was suprised of the lack of Jason in this one and how much of the book passed before Bill made an apperance. But there was Eric so it's all good:)
