These books are getting less and less gripping. There is less suspense, twists, passion, mystery and raunchiness. I'm starting to like the show over the books, something I thought I would NEVER say about any book. Sad, because I've been looking forward to this for about a year. Even though there are loose ends (which are pretty much straight up LISTED at the end...lame), I'm not exceptionally eager to get my hands on the next as I was at the beginning of the series.

I hated it. I feel these books are becoming crap as they go on. My expectations for this one weren't high as I disliked DITF and I finished this in two hours because I wanted to get it over and done with.
I was so glad that Bubba made an appearance in this book. I wish Charlaine Harris would make a book all about Bubba's adventures!
FINALLY! I got to finish reading and review Dead Reckoning. Now you will have to excuse me for a moment as I try to scrape my jaw off of the floor….. Nope, still didn’t work. Dear Charlaine Harris – I AM FLOORED. Dead Reckoning was mind blowing and infuriating at the same time. Mind blowing because Sookie did something that I NEVER would have done if I was in her place. Infuriating because this book was left with one HELL of a cliff hanger! If ever there was a book in this series that left you NEEDING to read the next book, it is Dead Reckoning. This is definitely in my top 3 favorites for this series.
I’m honestly stumped on what else to write for this review. Not because I have nothing to say. I am stumped because I have TOO MUCH to say and I dont want to say too much for fear of dropping details that will ruin it for readers everywhere. So with that, I will say two things – 1.) I have my fingers crossed that everything will work out the way I want it to and 2.) what would YOU wish for if you had the cluviel dor????
Dead Reckoning gets 5 stars!!!

Took me a while to get started on this, and it definitely left me wanting more. I'm not sure I like the direction she's taking the characters, but it was a pretty good read overall.

I do like this series I'm just getting tired of it not going anywhere. I liked that she brought in the elf species. The book is a long waited fast read and it's over before it goes anywhere with the story. I'll wait for the next book and read it too because now I want to find out what happens with the elves and with Eric and the Queen of course.
With her knack for being in trouble's way, Sookie witnesses the firebombing of Merlotte's, the bar where she works.
