I was surprised by how much I liked this book. This book was suggested by a friend who loves chick lit books and this was "the book of the year" for her. She knew I was looking for a new book to read so she suggested this one, but I told her that I wasn't much into romance or chick lit. She begged me to reconsider since she loved this book so much and thought I might enjoy it too. Needless to say I gave in and read this book and am quite glad that I did. The voice of Bridget Jones was fun and energetic and someone I might consider a friend (even though she was older than me). The battle between who to love when both men seem desirable in different ways is the main issue in this book, and even though it is a plot that has been used numerous times I still found myself engaged into who she might choose. I was able to talk to my friend about who we would choose and why; we had a lot of conversations because we had different opinions at different parts of the book. All in all I am glad I read it and would consider rereading it.
