“When was that?”
“All times at once. A long time ago, and right now.”

Well, I enjoyed the first half. The anticipation of them finally being together, this growing abnormal love story. Then the second half of the book is extremely depressing and sad. I just wanted to finish it and get it over with. The random shit with Gomez felt so forced and really not needed. And poor Charisse has 3 kids with this guy and knows he loves her best friend? I would rather read a book about her redemption story leaving Gomez and finding what she's worth than about Clare and Henry. And the idea that you can't change your future doesn't sit well with me. I left with a bad taste in my mouth after this book.
What's interesting is with most books, I can imagine what people look like but I couldn't with Clare and Henry. I couldn't really connect with them as characters but I was invested in their love story and honestly what kept me going was the constant hinting that something would happen in his early 40s and my curiosity got the best of me. Surprise surprise. Oof
Also, just a thought, do tattoos have your DNA when you get them? I thought the ink might stay behind when you time travel kinda like how jewelry doesn't stay either. Idk, that's an interesting topic.
Regardless, I'm sad now

The story of Clare and Henry's relationship is complex and full of emotional up and downs. It was a fun book to read, really fast paced since it had short sections that just made me want to keep connecting the dots.
