This book is definitely caught me off guard. I thought it's going to be a new adult romance instead of YA and to me.. It's a bit of a letdown. But overall, I enjoyed it.
Not exactly my favorite because it's way too lovey-dovey to me eceven though the ending is not my liking. I also hated the epilogue, I mean.. What the heck? Just like that?! Short live?! How did he.. I mean, how? When? Ugh, so frustrating.
This is my first Tillie Cole's book and I'd love to read more.

Get ready to sob. Like, ugly cry throughout most of this book. It’s an epic, tragic, love story that made me feel the entire spectrum of emotions. And still, at the end, a twist I hadn’t expected at all. Great book that got me very invested in each of the characters we meet.

Emotional, heartfelt, and definitely hard-hitting - but the writing style felt a bit too juvenile for me personally. It suited the characters’ age and themes, but just wasn’t quite my thing. Still, I liked the characters enough to keep reading, and teenage me would’ve absolutely adored this one. Surprisingly, no tears were shed (maybe I was just in my stone-hearted era 😂).
