why so much miscommunication

If you’re into small town romance, childhood sweetheart, miscommunication, best friend to lovers & second chance love tropes . . . This is for you!

Alternate POVs and flashback build the story so well & the characters are so down to earth & relatable

Had to DNF at 50% - art was imitating life and I just couldn’t do it.

This book recked me and then picked up my broken pieces and put them back together in some beautifully chaotic ways! There was so many emotions overtaking me during the entire book from different things happening not just on the romance storyline; from nate’s relationship with his father, to the many many misunderstandings between nate and amelia, the miscommunication of amelia and jack, the need of a girl squad, loving someone in the most beautiful way (really seeing them, all of them and accepting and choosing to love all of it)… i could carry on but i wont because you should really read this book and i dont want to spoil it even more!!

400+ pages of miscommunication. lovely

Bittersweet. I love a good brother’s best friend romance and this did not disappoint. The MC were perfect for each other. Get ready to cry though. A lot. 9/11 is a prominent piece of their character development and plot development. Loss and grief feature heavily in every page. That said, it is still a lovely summer read that flew by for me.

✨ALC REVIEW✨

Yes if...second chance small town romance is your thing and you enjoy childhood friends to lovers

No, if the nickname cookie gives you cringe ( it did for me), and you dislike miscommunication/lack of communication trope (my least favorite trope)

This book made my heart happy. There was so much miscommunication (a trope I’m not a huge fan of) BUT I loved the story overall. Kind of like the kick your legs giddy feeling while reading.

Once again, another amazing book by Brittanée Nicole! This book had me singing Mary’s Song by Taylor Swift in my head and feeling all the feels in the Prologue. I was immediately obsessed! My jaw dropped before the end of Chapter 2! This book took me on a rollercoaster of emotions and I could not put it down! The emotions this book made me feel!
