I really liked the world of this book a lot, with religion angels, demons, and the gothic romance, but i HATE a pregnancy trope, it would’ve been 4 stars but that knocked it down a star

Skimmed the last 20%, no desire to read the second book in the duology. Some parts were dark and made you want to read on but the others were too predictable; I did not like the FMC. The MMC was dark and possessive but not in a way that I could buy. I love her books but this one just didn't do it for me.

READ THIS BOOK! Wow! It is so good. I went in blind after reading and Nocticadia by the same author and I am so glad I did. This book is SO GOOD. The MMC is feral and possessive and amazing. The FMC was also perfection - she is curious and reasonable and fearless. I don’t usually like when a book jumps between timelines but it really works in this book.
