All loose ends are tied up in this third and final book of this awesome trilogy. The suspense, romance, and angst are what gripped me for the entirety of the book. Loved it!
I only have slight emotional damage from the first few chapters. It’s fine. Im totally fine.

With intrigue around every corner and second chance romance at stake this final book in the trilogy was intense!

Hayes Wilder is broken, absolutely broken through most of this book, but I can’t blame him. Not only did the love of his life disappear, but he's struggling with huge life hits coming at him left and right so keeping his spirits high isn't easy.

Even after his wife reappeared in his life it's not like Hayes could instantly turn back on all of his feelings, or probably more accurately turn off every insecurity, doubt, trust issue, or panic attack over if Laiken could leave him again. Hayes grew up in a broken home so his issues on relationships were already jaded, so when Laiken left she took his views and shattered them to pieces.

While part of this book is searching for answers, it's also about rebuilding a broken trust between these two people.

Yes, Laiken may have left to save Hayes after one of the worst nights of her life, but she wasn't off living a grandiose life. She was barely keeping her head above water, drowning in her decision to leave. The only thing keeping her afloat if that Hayes is safe and her decision has kept him moving forward and living his dream.

Unfortunately, these two don't realize that their dreams are really with each other and until they figure out how to move forward from their past, they won't solve who is threatening everything and everyone they love in time.

This final book is a page turning mystery wrapped around a heart breaking love story and it's so very good.

This entire trilogy has been a touching, emotional, and mind-blowing story from start to finish.

OKAY THIS BOOK WAS ACTUALLY INSANE? I feel the best way to describe it is in the words of Olivia Rodrigo: “What a mesmerizing, paralyzing, fucked-up little thrill” because actually wtf did I just read and why was it horrible but maybe the best thing I’ll read all year?? So glad Clara listened to all my voice memos so I had someone to share the craziness that this book is with. Would I read again? No. Would I recommend? No. Did I thoroughly enjoy myself and will forever remember this series? Fuck yeah!
