I hate to say but I pretty much scanned this one to see what happens. By the end of the 2nd book I was pretty much over it. It was pretty much "I Know What You Did Last Summer" meets an over done romance.

Oh man o man. The angstttt. The pure devastation. Hayes and Laiken go through the wringer in this book.
Laiken leaving was what she thought was best. Leaving Hayes utterly shattered. And holding on by a thread of hope.

This is a second chance love story with a ton of mystery and pure chaos on someone harassing the crew and trying to break them all apart.
It’s a ride, this series. I couldn’t stop reading. I had to know WTF was happening.
SO MUCH delicious spicy too. Can’t forget.
Hayes is serious book boyfriend potential to outrank all over book boyfriends. I want him.

this was a wild ride, but mannnn did it have me absolutely HOOKED! the suspense was awesome and tho it was predictable, it was still super interesting and fast read!
For the Pretty Poison series, A Shot of Pretty Poison is the cherry on top. This book was the perfect ending to what has become my favorite series of 2023 so far. This one was the most emotional of the three with the most at stake. The struggle for Hayes and Laiken to juggle the status and future of their relationship as well as the dangers lurking behind every corner leads to some great drama, thrills, tears and spice. The twists and the mystery continued to blow my mind too, I didn’t see them coming. Ultimately the relationship between Laiken and Hayes is what I love most about this series and I think the ending to their story is just perfect.
