This series was insane! Especially book 3.
I honestly was not expecting it to take a dark turn. That first book seems so innocent and sweet. Laiken has pined after her brother's best friend for 3 years and when they finally start hooking up, it has to be in secret until they fall apart.
In book 2, we see them rekindle openly this time and things seem to be going well until Surprise! There's a murder. And that's when things get dark and the lies and blackmail start and Laiken and Hayes are torn apart.
Then book 3 just gets darker. Blackmail, stalking, threats, trust issues. My emotions were all over the place. This book was the perfect conclusion to the series.

Holy speechless.... not only did kelsey do her thing. But she brought it back and did it again! Man, I didnt think i could love this world anymore, but wooowee was I wrong. This trilogy is a masterpiece, and hands down is a top read of all time for me. 5 stars are nothing on this. I am obsessed with Hayes and Laiken. As well as Cam and Mali . Them twists catch you completely off guard! Run... seriously run to read this
This book is my favorite in the series by far. this is book 3 and the final book. This story has come a long way since book 1. in this book we see the characters go through heartbreak after heartbreak, struggle after struggle all while trying to keep their own secrets, but secrets can never truly be kept can they? this book was thrilling, suspenseful, twists, obstacles you name it. Lai thinks she's better off gone but when she has to come back to the place she thought she left for good things get messy and wild! No spoilers i promise you just have to read it but damn this was a good ending. the spice was angsty and intense but not a lot of it. always check triggers. over all i really enjoyed this Pretty poison series.

I found this last book to be a bit disappointig. I just wanted Laiken and Hayes to be together, but he just wouldn't forgive her for leaving even when he knows the reason why she did. I found Hayes to be frustrating in this book.
