The words have escaped me. I'm at a loss writing this review.
Just when you think you know what will happen next, you are completely blindsided.
Kelsey Clayton has quickly become one of my favorite authors. This was my first series by her, and I cannot wait to see what she comes out with next. The rollercoaster that was these last two books... whew. What an ending. Well worth all the emotions I just went through.
Tropes: Brothers best friend, stalker, 2nd chance.
Plot: 4/5
Spice: 3/5

I really love these two. Given the second book's ending, I was expecting a sad book, and it did not disappoint. It’s full of angst and sad moments, which I love. However, I didn’t expect it to be so thriller-focused. I don’t want to give any spoilers, but there were times when I thought I was reading a thriller instead of an almost dark romance book.

Still, like in the previous books, the highlight for me is Layken and Hayes. I really love them and I love how their relationship progresses. There was not as much development on the characters' part in this book, but the relationship between them was the focus and I liked how it turned out. They built the trust that was missing.

The only thing that was not great about the book was really all of those thriller moments. It’s not that they were badly written, but there were things that didn’t make sense. Things happened with no explanation or the one given just was something that was not possible in the real world.

Still, I think this is a great end to the trilogy, I just wish the epilogue had taken place a bit further from all the events that happened in the book. I would also love to know what happened to Cam and Laiken’s best friend.

I read these books thanks to literally yours PR and of course Kelsey Clayton.

I will start off by saying that these books are fun okay, they're full of drama and really good smut which is great. The characters are okay,I loved cam and Hayes, Mali was pretty funny too but I often found her and Laiken quite annoying.

The writing was good in these books, but one thing I did find quite frustrating is how much Laiken and Mali's attitudes were spoken about. It was constantly being mentioned throughout all 3 books that they were sassy and how much they bantered together blah blah, like we can literally read that, we don't need it explaining to us every few chapters.

But other than that these books were fun and I flew through them pretty quickly, I'd give the series a 4 over all.

I do have to say the author got me with this one and all my suspicions for who the mystery person was were ones they’d become suspicious of too and rule out. I for sure thought it would end up being Monty’s mother, but I was indeed surprised with the outcome.

These books are very similar to the plot of Pretty Little Liars and I do have some remaining questions on how Monty pulled this off for so long β€œdead” and how he ever found out about Riley. I’m also wondering where the hockey went as it was literally nonexistent this book.
