I've said it before, I'm not a great fan of graphic novels (my mind just doesn't read that way) but... having said that... This isn't a bad version of the Trojan War, although one might argue that readers would need a deeper understanding of the source material to truly get the who and what of this version.

No. It's never enough. I have too much of my father in me.
The God Ares, the War God's story is set on the battle of the Trojan War. I really like the ending for it shown a side of Ares you don't normally see. His perspective was an interesting look into how he dealt and reacted to aspects of the war.
I appreciate all the hard work that goes into all graphic novels/comics. I go through them twice and my second time I look at the artwork to get the story through the images. People are so talented.

Greek mythology and graphic novels are a match made in Olympus. I love this series with each installment focusing on one of the main gods. They're fun and quick.

It happens, some what frequently, that I read two different books that overlap content. I just finished reading Kendare Blake's Mortal Gods then picked up O'Connor's most recent in his Olympians series focusing on the Trojan War, Achilles, Odyssus and the rest. I love when that happens.
Besides O'Connor's always superb art, I love the way he adapts these classic Greek myths for a modern audience. The story pops off the page and has depth without being overwhelming for younger audiences.

I love how George tells the story of the Trojan War. His viewpoint is all from the gods and how they are taking sides and interfering with the people's lives. It is a powerful story to tell. He also sets up the contrast between Ares, the blood thirsty and Athena the strategist. I mean it is so well done how he does this.
I think these books are fabulous and any fan of mythology will find enjoyment on them and a new take on the stories. This one was very good. I was entertained and I like the larger themes that George brings in. We see the archetypes at play.
