Is it a surprise I stayed up till 1am to finish this book? Absolutely not because as always Holly Black and Cassandra Clare HAVE NOT DISAPPOINTED!!
Once again we were taken on a whirlwind adventure and I devoured (hehe) this book purely because I didn’t want to stop living in the Magisterium world. Although the end was lackluster for me, I grew so attached to these characters. Aaron and his pure and kind heart. Tamara and her fierceness and strong will. Callum and his quirkiness and inability to stay out of trouble. Jasper and their frenemy (mostly friend) relationship with him. I’m going to miss them all and this realm so much.

Honestamente me siento un poco decepcionada con el final de esta serie, el libro anterior fue mi favorito y esperaba más de este pero no fue así. No es que sea un mal libro solo que su villano es muy descartable y típico pero sobre todo lo que más me decepciono fue el arco de cierto personaje que en mi opinión estaría mejor que se hubiera quedado como estaba en el libro anterior

Decent wrap up to a fantastic, very readable series for middle grades/tweens. Will recommend it to tons of kids.

I liked this installment well enough.
It was nice to see the main character finally start trusting people and letting them in on secrets.
The characters carried the book. The plot was mostly predictable. Though this book also had what was for me the biggest twist of the series.
For all the complexity institutions and characters are granted in this book, it seemed a little too convenient to create a couple crystal clear examples of evil mages that simplified a major decision the main characters had to make.
I wish all the surviving characters well. It was nice getting to know you, but I feel no need to stay in touch.
