3.5/5 stars. Had some good moments, but I almost felt like the fight at the end of the fourth book was more explosive and fit more for the end of the series. I also feel like the romance was a bit sudden and unnecessary (I felt the same way with the previous book). But overall I’m happy I read this series all the way through, because I definitely enjoyed it!

I finally finished the children’s series I started so long ago, around 6th grade I think. I liked the concept of the devoured, but I mean it’s YA fantasy so the plot isnt that flashed out. Overall it was a lovely nostalgic read.

I just found this book to be quite boring. It didn’t hold my attention, I forced myself to finish.
Le grand finale. Me fascinó el equilibrio entre las sorpresas y lo predecible, fue la medida exacta para sentir que todo hiló perfectamente. Y no puedo describir lo entrañable que fue saber que Aaron iba a tener su vida de vuelta. Si pudiera describir la saga en una palabra, sería Magistral.
Y, por favor, díganme que no soy la única que sintió que la mitad de la saga a Aaron le gustó Call.

El villano de esta es medio medio, hasta los profesores estan indignados del villano que les tocó, por lo ridiculo que actua y lo que pasa en el libro está muy estancado hasta las ultimas 70 o 50 páginas. Ademas, le baje puntos porque Call se desmaya cada dos por tres en todo este libro y llega a detener mucho el ritmo del libro, el pibe vivió en la enfermería.
En general, es una saga middle grade muy buena, es un poco copia a las demas sagas de este estilo (escuela de magia), pero no deja de tener cosas propias que son muy lindas.

The last part of the magisterium books and it was my least favourite. This is the last part of a series which is not really needed, it felt like the author wanted to write another book but the story line already finished one book ago. I still like the series but this part was the least good one.
I both loved and hated this book. It's ironic how the authors were trying to make Calmara canon (I never shipped them, they seemed to have a more sibling-like relationship) while making Calron more and more believable. It just hurt me more when Calmara got canon instead of Calron even after they managed to get a body for Aaron.
THERE WAS NO REASON TO DO ALISTAIR LIKE THAT!
I cried so hard because I had a bad feeling this was gonna happen. I mean, Alistair said that he would find an air mage on his own, he gave Call his most prized car, and THEN I remembered that Alistair was an air mage. Even though I saw it coming, I didn't fully process it when I read it.
Honestly, I thought Tamara and Jasper were gonna be a thing, but Gwenda's awesome, too.
I feel no shame when I say I think Graves had it coming.
