The whole book takes place in an interrogation room where the main character Angela is being questioned.
She is a person of interest in the disappearance of her ex boyfriends wife.
I was expecting lots of suspense and a big twist just like any good thriller.
Nope not in this book.
It was predictable right from the very first chapter. Most of the book was a flashback so you didn’t get to the good parts until the end.
The reason I’m giving it a 2 star is because it was a fast read so thankfully I didn’t waste too much time.

Such a page turner! The story starts with Angela at the police station being interrogated by a Detective Novak about Saskia. She decides to not answer questions directly but tell the story of her and Hps lives to unfold what happend.
I thought I knew what happened.. then changed my mind.. then was still wrong! A strange and twisted tale I couldn't put down.

There are quite a few quotes I loved out of this book. And for the most part I loved it. I love how it was written. I liked that it was as if the MC was telling us a secret. I enjoyed all of that and had the ending came normally I would have rated it a 4 or 4.5.
However the ending did not come normally at all. Some characters seemed out of character. Some things were too far fetched. I don’t believe that’s how it happened from the way Angela acted all book. In fact the ending kinda destroyed her character too.
Idk I really liked this book right up until she started playing in Saskia and HP’s room. Then it just went downhill from there. #shareoursecret Thanks St Martin’s Press for this ARC!

First 250 pages were amazing and unpredictable then it quickly fell apart into 'oh this is the first novel by this author'
This was a fast paced thriller with the an incredibly unreliable narrator but it just felt kind of flat to me. I don’t know if it was because I really struggled with Angela’s character or what. Although interesting, I probably wouldn’t read it again but I would recommend for a great example of someone with Borderline personality disorder!
Holy unreliable narrator, Batman!!! I am a big fan of the mystery/thriller genre and have read A LOT of them but lately they have all felt a little stale and repetitive to me. I have been slightly bored with the genre only because nothing I have read lately felt new or different then I received this book....whoa!
Angela is a great narrator and even though she is obviously a little messed up you still can't help but like her just a little. I also felt a little sorry for her in that she seemed very alone and basically was raised by two very selfish parents. All of the characters are believable and great...even though you kind of hate most of them.
Our Little Secret is a great thriller that I could not put down and devoured it a just a few short sittings. This may not exactly be a new plot line but Ms. Nay writes it so well that you will enjoy every single crazy minute of it!

Our Little Secret starts out in a police interview room. Angela is being questioned in the disappearance of her best friend HP's wife Saskia. Angela keeps insisting she knows nothing about Saskia's disappearance but the investigator doesn't believe her so Angela starts at the very beginning with her story. The story of her and HP's 10-year-long friendship.
Angela and HP met in school. They became inseparable through their high school years, through HP's many dalliances and into Angela's college years. They considered themselves soulmates, as much as two friends can be soulmates. But then their friendship becomes something more and Angela fights her parents when they insist she not miss out on the incredible opportunity to go to Oxford college in England. She feels safe around HP and doesn't want to leave. But she does leave and things change for her in big ways.
Does absence make the heart grow fonder? Who is Saskia and how does she fit into this triangle. What are Angela's true feelings about the aussie?
I liked Our Little Secret. It was a very fast read for me and something that would be perfect to take to the beach or on an airplane. I gave this read 4 stars.

This book is terrible. It's boring, everyone is irritating and/or stupid (usually both) and the "mystery" created by an unreliable narrator isn't compelling when there's no imaginable version of the story that is recognizable as more or less the same story but not incredibly stupid.

Okay - can everyone get on their feet and give Roz Nay a round of applause? Our Little Secret was her DEBUT novel and to be completely frank - it has blown all other thrillers I've read in my recent memory out of the water. By a very long shot. This thriller was unlike any I've read before, told in a very different perspective than most, and with twisty, confusing characters that keep you guessing what they are up to.
Angela is brought in for questioning in regards to her ex-boyfriend's (but still best friend?) wife's disappearance. Angela claims she has no idea where she is, but wants to tell the detectives her history with HP, the husband, for them to determine where the missing is.
While Angela is being interrogated, she tells her story backward, starting from the day she met HP and their love story as it unfolds, and how his wife plays into the mix. This was a brilliant way of telling a thriller story because I was so caught up in their love story, I forgot I was reading a thriller until it turned really dark and twisty. None of the characters were really likeable, which is usually an issue for me, but this worked SO WELL. I had no idea who to trust or what was going on throughout the entire book. And then the end hit me like a truck full of bricks and I'm still asking myself WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED. Don't waste any more time, go find this book and read it immediately - and while you're at it, preorder Nay's new book The Hunted, set to release in July.

Here’s a sneak peek of my review. Follow the link for the full review.
Review: I will have to admit that I was skeptical about reading this book but figured I would give it a shot since it is not a long novel and it was kindly sent from the publisher. We enter the story with Angela, a twenty something woman who has been taken into custody because the police believe she may have some information about the disappearance of Saskia, the wife of Angela's first and only true love. Immediately I got a "this chick is crazy" vibe from the way she was handling the interview. She is more of a calm crazy which seems to be the worse kind. Angela advises the officer that the story is not really about Saskia but about what has happened to lead up to her disappearance.
