This book is filled with amazing and exciting romances. Each story unique in its own way but equally enticing as the last. The authors cleverly twisted the fairytales that they wrote, each one keeping you on the edge of your seat. I enjoyed each tale I encountered.

I was very excited to read this collection since I love fairy tale spin offs. Here's what I thought of each of them:

Mail-Order Princess: I was super excited to read this story since I love her books, and I don't think I've read a story by her in any of these collections. I was intrigued by the story from the start. I liked the characters and how the magic fit in with the story.

The Miller’s Daughter: This was a cute story. I liked the main characters, especially Thomas.

I'm a big lover of fairy tale retellings, so when I first saw this book I just knew I had to read it. It's bursting with fairy tale goodness. There were stories where I knew the original tale very well and others I didn't know much about at all. My favorites were The Pebbled Path by Sarah M. Eden (Hansel and Gretel) and Black Fern by Julie Daines (Beauty and the Beast). All the stories in this collection were full of everything I could hope for, romance, a bit of danger, some mystery, and even a dash of magic here and there. Any lover of fairy tales is sure to enjoy this wonderful collection. Highly recommend!

MAIL ORDER PRINCESS BY JESSICA DAY GEORGE
Jessica Day George wrote one of my all-time favorite retellings-Sun and Moon, Ice and Snow, so I was really looking forward to reading Mail Order Princess. I wasn't familiar with the fairy tale this story was based on, but that didn't hamper my enjoyment any. I loved it! Set in the Old West, I found it to be very original.

THE MILLER'S DAUGHTER BY JULIE WRIGHT
Rumpelstiltskin! Rumple was great and Isa was very spirited. I really felt for Isa. Her situation infuriated me. I thought this was a really great twist on the original. I had a great time reading it.

THE PEBBLED PATH BY SARAH M. EDEN
I've never been disappointed by anything I've read by Sarah M. Eden. The Pebbled Path was really great, one of my favorites in this collection. I loved the interesting twist on Hansel and Gretel. Very unique!

BLACK FERN BY JULIE DAINES
Beauty and the Beast is my absolute favorite fairy tale. Black Fern was an awesome adaptation. The descriptions really drew me in and painted the scenes perfectly. This was my favorite story in the collection. I didn't want it to end.

SCARLET BY HEATHER B. MOORE
I think I've only read one other Little Red Riding Hood retelling, so I was excited to find out the path this one would take. While Scarlet wasn't one of my favorites from this collection, it was still good. The danger of the wolves was palpable and I read this one quickly.

SO RARE A POWER BY ANNETTE LYON
I don't think I've ever read anything featuring The Snow Queen, so this was an interesting read, but probably my least favorite of the bunch. One thing I did enjoy was how it transported me to the wintry setting so well that I could feel the biting chill in the air.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. All thoughts and comments are my honest opinion.

This was an absolutely fabulous set of fairy tale re-writes! I loved every single one of the stories! It was a lot of fun to read a new and different version of some of the fairy tales I'd grown up with. They were either set in a different time or place or some had different characters. I especially liked Hansel and Gretel. They weren't siblings, but the love interests, and the story was so completely new and refreshing. I read one of them with my teenager and she loved it too. Such a great compilation of stories!
I thought the Beauty and the Beast story was very clever--the Beast was blind, she came to be a servant in his household to save her own. It had several similarities, but was all new in so many ways.
I even liked the Snow Queen story and those usually bother me. I don't know why. This one was sweet and interesting.
The story where the princess had brothers who were swans was set in the old West of America. Her love interest was half-Indian. That was a fun change.
The Red Riding Hood story was also very different and fun.
Anyway, you get the idea. I loved reading these books and I'll probably read them all again sometime!

These stories were so wholesome! Also really enjoyed they were twisted fairy tales and how they were changed.

I've read Jessica Day George's books before, but I don't think I've read any of the others - fairly interested in them now!

I read the digital version of this and did not look at the cover very closely. When it says fairytale romances, these really are fairytales. They were done well but I didn’t really like them. It’s really my personal preference that I’m not into this kind of fantasy. It is a collection of novellas so I kept reading to see if I would like the next one and finally finished after eight months without really loving any of them. But if you like fairytales, fantasy, and romance you might like this book!

A Timeless Romance collection paired with fairy tale re-tellings? - couldn't get more perfect for me! It was so fun to read these short stories that are all related to a fairy tale and yet each uniquely their own story as well. Some more closely followed the original tale than others and I enjoyed identifying those elements from the original stories. There was only one of the six stories where I was not familiar with the original fairy tale (the Snow Queen) so that was probably my least favorite of the bunch, simply for the reason that I didn't have that comparison as I did with the others.
There were stories based on Beauty and the Beast, Little Red Riding Hood, The Six Swans, Hansel and Gretel, Rumplestiltskin, and the Snow Queen. So fabulous! Loved them all!
Note: I received a free ebook of this book in exchange for an honest review.
