3.5, rounded up. I didn't love this one as much as the first of this series, but I'm still excited to keep going. It felt very much like the second-book lull...a bit slower and even a bit formulaic. There are things I continue to love: the magic, Kitten, Numair...so all the iffy bits don't really bother me too much. I like the full cast audio productions and am going to keep listening as I do housework.
