God I love Kelly Ripa! That woman has the ability to make me LOL (literally) and then cry from a deep maternal connection minutes later. Even if you're not a particular fan, I highly recommend reading this book as it will be an absolute delight. Plus, she narrates the audiobook (and her husband Mark Consuelos chimes in here and there #swoon), so it's like catching up with an old friend. The best!
This reads more like the book version of the type of anecdotes she would tell in the chat portion of Live. They’re perfectly entertaining as casual listening, if not particularly deep/contemplative. I get the strong sense that her best stories are locked under NDAs.

I NEVER expected to love this book as much as I did. I am not a huge Live fan and did not realize how hysterical Kelly Ripa is! One of the best memoirs I've ever read.
Live Wire is a series of essays by talk show host Kelly Ripa that feels like a light-hearted way to share her experiences throughout her life and her career. It was fun to see how truly genuinely madly rich someone could be and still be ~relatively~ normal.
This is subjective, but a lot of the comedy missed the mark for me personally. I also felt there was a slightly harmful view of food and diet culture repeated throughout the book that was never truly addressed the way I expected it to be.
The one section that stood out to me was when she spoke about how she had a policy to not comment on speculation and tabloid fodder, and her regrets for not doing so. I wish there was more like that. Also the acknowledgements section was wild.
