I loved this book, and now I can say I love graphic novel too! Some of the best graphics I've ever seen, with characters that soar (literally, thanks to Olive) and that are drawn perfectly. I am waiting for my school library to get the Hollow City graphic novel so I can read it.
Having never read the book before reading this, I only had a vague idea of what it was about. I was unsure how I would feel about it and whether I would like it. On the whole I really liked it. The storyline was weird and interesting and certainly unique. The art style complimented this too, with its sections in black and white or colour and it's sketchy free hand feeling. It was very well drawn and put together.

This graphic novel was AMAZING!!
Read it in one sitting.
I couldn't put it down.
I really wanted to re-read Miss Peregrine's to refresh my mind before reading the sequel, and this just did the job perfectly.
I honestly think all great books should have graphic novels.
Definitely a new favourite of mine!

I enjoyed the graphic novel so much that I want to read the original novel now.
I could have easily given this more stars if I read it in its normal format. Despite the art in this being stunning I feel like I'm missing a huge part of the story just seeing the pictures and lacking the description and flow (the flow of time jumps was odd in this format). I enjoyed the story but not being able to get into a character's head just left me wanting more and not in the "give me the sequel now" sort of way. I'll read the book book eventually but for now it stays 3 stars because the graphic novel format just ain't for me. Too easy to feel like I'm skimming and not enough for me to over analyze
It was a really amazing book. I loved the art style and just everything in the book. I was really fascinated with the whole story and I'm glad I read the book.
Not as good as the book, but very faithful to it. Also, the illustrations were really pretty!
Unfortunately, this is not my reading style.
+ I have to say that the switch from black&white to colours was really, really nicely done. It made the whole book pleasing to the eye.

The art within lacked anything special to praise, though also was not remotely the worst I've seen. Really the only reason I read this was because I wanted to read [b:Hollow City|12396528|Hollow City (Miss Peregrine's Peculiar Children, #2)|Ransom Riggs|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1381258937s/12396528.jpg|17377739] but my memory was not serving me well in regards to what took place in [b:Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children|9460487|Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children (Miss Peregrine's Peculiar Children, #1)|Ransom Riggs|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1391229642s/9460487.jpg|14345371]. This served my purpose exceedingly well and I am now all caught up to further continue this peculiar and haunting series.

The Miss Peregrine series is one of my absolute favourites but I only recently discovered that this has slowly been made into graphic novels too.
I loved the simplistic style and black/white colour choice becausw it really fitted in with how boring the world seems until things start to happen. The depections of the Hollowgasts were terrifying.
The only thing that irked me a ittle is that, while the photographs were included it would have been nice to see them turned into the comic style too as it felt a bit jarring when they popped up.
