I really liked this graphic novel adaptation but I feel like it’s truly made for fans who have already read the book. I feel like it was super condensed and for me - I missed the magic of the character development and all of the details put in to the story. Still a solid read but I just prefer the original script version better!
Read this in about an hour after I had just finished the book :) love the story and loved re witnessing it again through illustration
I felt that there were too many gaps in the story, like it jumped from one panel to the next very quickly. The illustrations were good, but the colouring between time lines could have been better defined. All the characters look the same; it was hard to differentiate between who was speaking.
книга лучше :(
но рисовка прекрасная, не спорю. и фотографии как-то неожиданно хорошо вписались...

I loved it!!
It was quite different from the movie but I really liked that. I don't like reading and watching the exact same thing multiple times. I enjoyed the change. Highly recommend.

I have read this story before in novel form so this review is mostly for the art style. I really like the transitions of colors from present day to within the loop. The characters were all drawn in kinda a cute way we'll accept for the monsters. I hope that after I read the second novel I will be able to find the graphic version to go with it. The story sis go a lot faster and I noticed that a lot of the more fluffy things were taken out. I understand but one of the things that I really liked about this series was all the characters and their talents. I hope we get to see some of the other children's talents in the upcoming books.
4.5*
Really enjoyed this graphic novel version. The art is great and the characters are portrayed wonderfully.

A really enjoyable adaptation of the original novel. I used it as a refresher for the sequel and it helped remind me of various things that I had forgotten. I wouldn't suggest anyone read this instead of the book but it's a great companion.
