If I could give the Court of Mist and Fury 100 out of 5 stars, I would.

That was way more fun than the first book. I was thoroughly entertained, despite the snarling, so much snarling.

Usually I find that in a series, the secind book isn't quite as compelling as the first. Maybe it's the magic of the first book, introducing characters and the world but for whatever reason, book two always seems "good and not great". For this book, I think it was a BETTER than the first book. It is INCREDIBLE. The character development, more world-building, the plot! I thought I'd want more steamy fun times, but honestly this book stands alone from those steamy scenes and although they were fine, I don't think they were crucial to the story. I mean, the story itself was just so flippin' good! Can't wait for books three and four (which I ordered 300 pages into this book and should have ordered sooner!).

Every time I read this book, I forget just how good it really is. Always 5 stars. Probably my favorite book ever.
