Interesting forensic mystery with Dr. Brennan. Involved biker gangs and, as usual, superb research work from the author.
I did miss Ryan though but hoping that he will soon be back.

OKAY WHAT THE HELL DETECTIVE RYAN?!?!?! WHAT THE HELL!!!
UGH, Deadly Decisions made me want to murder him! Also.. what is this strange fascination with trying to kill Brennan and her family? Is there going to be a book where everyone is safe?
Other than that, I'm lowkey happy that Brennan was in the good ole VA. Now.. if she could do a hop, skip, and jump into DC - I would be even happier guys! Anyhoo, the new investigation in her life is with a motorcycle club. There's also another thing going on in her life and that has to deal with Ryan. Ugh, bad guy! He deserves a time out for the shit he has put me through.
I liked getting to meet Kit, her nephew.. but I also feel like he caused a bunch of drama into her life as well. I also feel like Tempy gets herself into a whole bunch of shit. Things could've easily gone another way for her but she decided to go against what everyone was telling her. It was a bit frustrating to listen to.
Overall, I liked the book but it could've been better.

Interesting insight into gang--in this case Motorcycle gangs and organized crime. Per usual, Dr. T runs off on her own to near disastrous results. Always learn something about forensics.

About the Book: Disappearances, ordered hits, drugs, violence, and bones have brought Temperance Brennan to outlaw biker gangs. And they are absolutely not happy to see her. Still, this would just be another Tuesday at work were it not for the awful and personal warnings thrown her way. A note there, a picture here, an eyeball in an envelope… Someone really doesn’t want her digging.
My Opinion: There’s a lot of nothing in this book. Where characters just exist in their fear, anxiety, worries and thoughts, with nothing happening around them or in the plot. Usually I don’t mind these, I’m patient with the outfits, the haircuts, the occasional internal monologue. But in this particular book the plotline got fairly well buried under it all. To a point where I can’t coherently tell you what happened or the time it happened.

I listened to the audiobook via Overdrive. The book didn't really hold my interest until the last 5-10 chapters. I wished more than once that I had read the physical book instead, mostly because of the liberal use of French words and acronyms for government departments. A large number of characters made it difficult for me to follow the different storylines in audio format as well. Not sure if I'll be returning to the series in the future.
