This is the first time I have read this author, though I follow her on Tik Tok.
I thought this stand alone in her universe was the first in the series, but whatever website I looked it up on lied to me. I felt like I missed a bunch of things.
Whether or not I read the others, I am not sure.

Oh the premise of this one is just SO bad but I love Luna Pierce books so I finished it.
If you have read villain era or untamed vixen this is the third book in that series. Yes, you need to read those before this one in order to understand it. Plus, those are better books.
This book follows Cora. The bestie character from untamed vixen.
Cora is put in the most stupidly insane predicament because of her dumb ass father. As she figures out how to fix her father’s mistake she meets (or remeets) three guys that eventually become part of her harem.
Here are my problems with this book:
(1) the spicy scenes are not great, awkward, randomly timed, and cringey.
(2) the premise is absolutely stupid. We are supposed think this villain is untouchable but no reason is given and in the end they do the most logical thing to end the threat. Like something they could have done in chapter one.
(3) Cora gets really angry at her best friend for no real reason. Oh my god, you tried to protect me from the mafia. You evil evil person. Never speak to me again.
(4) The guys don’t really like get to know each other or understand each other. It was like they just shrugged their shoulders and decided to murder people for her together. Boom.
(5) The ending was only about TVP not really how they go out of the drama that had been set up. The author posts a lot about TVP so it’s not shocking that this was a part of the book but to make an awkward TVP scene the end was again cringy.

Cora and her men?! absolutely obsessed with.
This dark mafia romance had me on the edge the whole way through. From the plot twists and jaw drops to the spicy scenes with all three of her men. Cora’s growth is admirable and she deserves her happy endings.
Plot: 10/10

Bubbly Cora puts everyone before herself; in order to save her family, she agrees to an arrangement with a nasty mafia man named Ricardo thanks to her dad’s debt. We meet these characters in Untamed Vixen and Villian Era with Luna and her men. I absolutely love the connectedness for the first two book in the series. It can be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend to reach the others in Sinners and Angels to build the backstory with this group of friends. I was so excited to read about Cora, Alec, Miller, and Silver. I love the strength of our FMC working on handling this situation herself. Our group of men each love Cora in their own way and show her how much they care throughout the book. Cora definitely finds herself throughout the trials she goes through with her men and her friends. She gets her HEA and her revenge in the end. I could NOT stop reading - this book is long, but it’ll fly by because you won’t be able to put it down. If you are familiar with Luna’s TikTok, you’ll defintitely appreciate the epilogue as well. I’m already looking to the next installment in the Sinners and Angels universe.
- Mafia romance
- Billionaire romance
- Dark romance
- Why choose
- Multiple POV
Although this is part of the Sinners and Angels series, there is enough information about the previous characters to be able to read this as a standalone. I do recommend June's duet though, because it is brilliant.
This book had me in its grip right from the start and when I wasn't reading, I was thinking about it. The FMC Cora has made an impossible deal in exchange for the lives of her parents. She shoulders the burden of the commitment to protect her friends. It broke my heart to see her lose little pieces of herself while trying to prepare herself for her future. Every time she thought she found a way out and it was dashed, it broke a little more.
Three very different men have feelings for Cora and would do anything to help her...if they knew. I loved them all:
Alec, the golden retriever driver for June's men. He has been in love with Cora for a while and has kept his distance because June's men (mainly Simon) have made it clear she's off limits. But when he fills in as her date, he finally lets her know how he feels.
Miller, a billionaire boss from the east coast. He has been mildly obsesed with Cora since they met two years ago. Now that he's on the west coast more frequently, he wants to be with Cora. Miller has been the star of many of Cora's fantasies, but she doesn't think he's interested (thanks, June...) until he finally makes his move.
Silver, an older "cleaner". He helps Cora with a delicate situation and falls hard and fast for her. He is determined to find a way to help her out of the situation. Fixing things is his specialty...
I was truly blown away by this book. The writing is compelling and deals with difficult topics. I cannot wait to read more from this author. This was just an amazing story. It's very dark, though, so please make sure to check the TW before reading.

The was a fantastic book, the plot was wonderful and the spice was on point.
The only reason I took away a star is because I was extremely unhappy with how Cora treated June, and even when they made up… the apologies were uneven. June didn’t deserve what she was handed by Cora and literally everything was put on June’s shoulders and she was the only one apologizing. It felt extremely one sided and like Cora wasn’t as good a friend as she’s painted to be.
Other than that, everything else was amazing. It’s very dark and heartbreaking. But her guys are amazing and the spice was absolutely delicious. I’d even say the spice was more intense and had a bit more kink than June and her guys.
You’ll definitely get frustrated, and your eyes will water up a few times, but the ride is oh so worth it.
