If the the author wanted you to like the main character, the mark was missed. Hated her but also somehow still rooted for her. The dog thing is not excusable at all. In the end it’s a good story, with a great plot and a truly unlikable FMC.

TW for SA, rape (non graphic), murder (graphic).
3.5 stars. Decent book!! Reallt enjoyed Saffy’s character, though I do wish her being a murderer was more incorporated into the story, but overall, I really liked her character. The other characters were okay too, but I felt like it was missing something.

Saffy’s got a secret that she doesn’t want you to know, and no, it’s not the fact that she’s a serial killer - it’s much worse, she’s got a crush! Jonathan Derosiers, true crime podcast host who famously caught a notorious serial killer is the object of her desires but will his interest in the so-called Bin Bag Killer stand in the way of true love?
As soon as I started reading this book I knew I was going to love it! It sucks you in with an event that sets the tone for the rest of the novel and helps to explain why Saffy behaves the way she does. I tore through the book in a little over a day which is always testament to a great story!
Saffy is such a fun character (murderous tendencies aside) who has spent her whole life protecting her beloved, younger sister Susie. She’s an heiress who sits on the boards of numerous charities and only dines in the finest restaurants, but she’s not averse the disposing of men who pose a threat to womankind. She will do literally anything to get what she wants, especially when it comes to winning Jonathan’s heart.
There’s been a rise in the number of female serial killer novels recently but in my opinion this book is head and shoulders above the rest. It doesn’t feel gratuitous or like it’s trying to be shocking just for the sake of it - that’s not to say there aren’t any shocking moments, there definitely are, but each one adds to the overall story. Cohen has got the balance exactly right between plot, character and pace and although this is her first foray into thrillers, it’s still a love story at heart!
Huge thanks to Zaffre books for sending me a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

2.5 stars. I kept reading this because there was a hint of something that I liked and I wanted the mystery solved. But the FMC might have been the most obnoxious person on the planet. I kept thinking maybe it was an act and she'd become more relatable as a real human as the book progressed but no. The whole romance was weird af and I wasn't sure why so much of the book was from the guys perspective. And the mystery itself and the minor twist I saw coming a mile away.

I really enjoyed this book!!! I thought the concept was fun and awesome! The main character was likable and kind of unlikable at the same time. I did guess the final outcome but it was still super entertaining! I’m so happy I randomly requested this one! There’s a little gore, plenty of mystery, and a lot of murder. This one definitely kept my attention the whole time and if I wasn’t quite busy while reading it, it would have been a binge read! Gotta love some female rage!!!

Most of this was extremely predictable and a little eye roll inducing, but I actually really liked it?
I didn't like Saffy, but I did like Saffy. It was a perfect balance of hating her but still liking her, which I think takes a really talented author.
Thanks to NetGalley and RB Media for the ARC!
