The whole series was getting better for me...until this book. It wasn't as bad as the first one, but for some reason I just had some major problems with it. First off, the whole random thing with Victor and Robert...I feel like that was basically to show that Rose "snapped"...but the whole "snapping" scene was too quick. One second she's fine. Then Sonya tells her she has darkness. Then she snaps. Then she's fine. Oh and the whole love triangle with Rose, Dimitri, and Adrian. It was obvious from the beginning they still loved each other. I didn't really see the point of yanking Adrian around like that. And what about Jill?!? Oh and the other weird vampires that live in caves. What was the point of introducing them? It was a place to hideout but introduced all this other weird stuff that I thought was going to come into play later on...it didn't. I really don't understand authors bringing in these huge "plot twists" for absolutely no reason at all.

The series was worth the read, but I was disappointed with this book. It got better and had real potential and just kind of fell short for me :(

I don't like the ending. Like for REAL, oh my gosh. It is not perfect for me and there are many people hanging there. I wonder why Richelle Mead end the series in here. Blood lines is just for Sydney and I don't think there will be more of Rose and Dimitri. -_- The reason why I give this review a ONE, is for ADRIAN IVASHKOV! HOW CAN ROSE BREAK HIS HEART? I DONT CARE ABOUT THAT STRIGOI DIMITRI(Okay, he returned from that thing) But still, Rose used my dear Adrian just because Dimitri wasn't there and she needed money. :'( I hate you Rose. You are just a freaking gold-digger. All those characters. I cried at the last part where she broke up with Adrian. So heart breaking.

Too neat of an ending, too many deus-ex-machina characters to move the plot along... still think Dimitri and Rose's story is statutory rape... still think Rose is intensely whiny and immature and treats everyone around her like they're expendable unless they're Dimitri or Lissa. I haven't seen much growth from her at all from book 1.

**WARNING! THIS REVIEW CONTAINS A SPOILER! READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!**

I wouldn't call "Last Sacrifice" amazing or epic like other fans. It wasn't bad, it was really good, but there were three problems I had with the book.

Problem #1: I love Rose, but I thought she acted irrational and a little bit of a drama queen during the first half of the book. Her attitude in LS reminded me her attitude in VA before she had any character development.

Problem #2: The ending felt like something Walt Disney would've written, which is a pet peeve of mine. I thought that when Rose got shot she should've died. Even though I'm glad she survived, I thought it would've been a nice twist for the main protagonist to die.

Problem #3: Dimitri's whole emo attitude got on my nerve. In some of his dialouges he's all " I love you, Rose, but I can never be with you because of my monsterous actions as a Strigoi." or " Even though you came up with the plan to turn me back into a dhampir, I must kiss Lissa's ass." I not saying Dimitri shouldn't have accepted responsibility for his actions, but the self guilt attitude made me want to slap him and shout, " Shut-up and grow a pair of balls!". Now, before some of you fan girls send me hate mail let say that I do like Dimitri, but I like him better in books 1-4.

Other than those three flaws, LS was a nice finish to the VA series.

Book Grade: B+

End of the story, overall satisfactory. not really a fan of the end but it could have been worst. I think the book has a slow build to the end a lot of open guesses but nothing very amazing happen or was truly a mystery.
I wish some thigs could be tied up at the end some events and consequences.

This book was a terrific end to an absolutely amazing series. It had so much emotion and I couldn't get through it fast enough. The entire series changed my life. I can honestly say I will never be the same again. Everything about it was just so amazing and I don't even know how to express my emotions into words. It can't be done. I loved everything about this book and series and can honestly say that it has changed me forever and was better than anything. Thank you Richelle Mead for sharing this with the world.

Can't believe theres no more! :(

There were some loose ends that i wished she'd tied up like Rose & Adrian and what happend to Sydney & Eddie. I suppose they'll come through in Bloodlines right?

Overall though freakin' incredible series. If your stupid like me and have waited this long to read it i suggest you read it RIGHT NOW! You'r missing out guys!!

Damn i'll miss Rose!

I first read this a few years ago and loved it. While I still enjoyed the plot and story as a whole, I do think I've grown out of the writing style, and now see it is a bit childish.
