Kristen Proby is one of my favorite authors. She is a go-to if there's nothing out in the Kindle world that is grabbing my attention. It is safe to say that not only have I read every one of her books, but have certainly read each of them multiple times (some are probably reaching double digits!). Easy Charm will most definitely be in the double digits one day!!

I fell in love with the Boudreaux family in Easy Love (I love the setting- right in the heart of New Orleans!!!) and couldn't wait to read Gabby's, the youngest member of the family and owner of a bed and breakfast, and Rhys' story! I loved watching the evolution of their relationship, and the bond formed between Rhys and Gabby's son, Sam.

The characters are well-developed and well-written, and I loved the glimpse we got of the other side characters, too. Although I fell in love with the family in the first book in the series, I felt that a lot of time was spent in that book getting to know ALL the family members. Because we had already gotten to know them a bit before, there was more concentration given to the romance between our main characters.

This was certainly a book I will reread many times over. I can't wait for more from the Boudreaux family (and Ms. Proby)!!!

**Update** I have also listened to the audio of Easy Charm. I absolutely loved Sebastian York and Rachel Fulginiti!

Easy Charm" is book two in Kristen Proby’s Boudreaux Series, and it’s Gabby Boudreaux's turn at love.  Gabby is the youngest of the Boudreaux clan and isn't looking for a relationship.  Gabby is happy and content running the Inn Beaudreaux which has been in her family for generations.  She works hard as the proprietor of the Inn and she focuses all her time and attention on the Inn and her seven year old son Sam.  She is a single mom who has been raising Sam all by herself after his birth father walked away and shattered her heart.  Gabby is my kind of girl.  She doesn't wallow in what life has dealt her but picks herself up by her bootstraps and makes the best of it. She is everything you want in a heroine.

We met Rhys O’Shaughnessy in Easy Love, book one of this series. He’s Kate’s cousin and most importantly an incredibly talented Chicago Cubs pitcher but with a heart of gold.  Rhys is injured earlier in the year and he comes to New Orleans and the Inn to recuperate.  Kate thinks the solitude the Inn offers will help him recover quickly.  All it takes for Rhys is seeing Gabby and he is struck.  He knows he wants to get to know her and soon.

Rhys is in no hurry and he senses Gabby's distance is for a good reason.  He is beyond a gentlemen and generally just enjoys spending time with her and Sam.  The easiness that Rhys has with Sam opens Gabby's heart to Rhys.  Their relationship is a slow sizzle that turns into a long burning heat.  There isn't a ton of drama and this book and you just get to enjoy the love story.  This book was a one sitting read for me that left a smile on my face.  Can't wait for the next Boudreaux sibling's love story to unfold.

Listened for Fun (Audible)
Overall Rating: 3.75
Story Rating: 3.50
Character Rating: 4.00

Audio Rating: 4.25 (not part of the overall rating)

Quick Thoughts: Just a note this was a 4.50 read till the end and one of my pet peeves showed up
SpoilerComplaining about lack of communication when you are the most guilty of it
. That being said, it was resolved quickly so this still came out a great 3.75 (3 stars for me just means it is probably not a reread). I really loved Gabbie's spunk and she was such a strong, independent gal. Her relationship with Rhys was something that was easy to fall in love with and despite my problems at the end I was rooting for them!

Audio Thoughts:
Narrated by: Sebastian York , Rachel Fulginiti /Length: 7 hrs and 56 mins

Sabastian and Rachel did a great job with these two characters. I love how they are bringing the Boudreaux's alive with each book. I will continue this series on Audio!

**Warning: this text may contain spoilers** This book was amazing .
Kristen Proby is getting better and better.

Smart and strong heroine ☑
Charming and loving hero ☑
Cute little boy who will probably grow to be just as charming as Rhys ☑
MENTION OF LEO FUCKING NASH ☑ (as a side note, he was my favourite from With me in Seattle series, so I screamed when I saw his name there)
Interesting plot ☑

I was right about this one. I was so excited to read it and I loved almost every minute of it. Why almost? Well, I didn't appreciate when Gabby delayed to tell Rhys the news, if you know what I mean

So «Easy Charm» is about Gabrielle Bordeaux, who had to raise her child alone after her ( sperm donor ) ex-boyfriend left her. ( Needless to say, I am not his biggest fan. ) Rhys is Kate's cousin and he had to move in New Orleans to recover after he hurt he's shoulder. I forgot to mention that he's great at baseball?
Anyway, you know the rest. Boy meets girl, their sexual attraction is almost palpable, they can't take it anymore so they decide to stop trying to oppose it. Don't forget about falling in love part. That's predictable about NA books. Good thing every author has her/his own style so it doesn't get boring.

5/5 stars
My favourite so far, though Charly's has potential.

This is a single mom and a professional baseball player (Chicago Cubs) romance. It has the small town feels, a great family dynamic, and I enjoyed their romance. It is a bit instalovey but it is a shorter romance.

Kristen Proby did a really good job with this novel. It was complex and sweet and had a lot of the charm that her books typically possess.

Gabby was the feature of this story. She is the baby of the Boudreaux clan, but she already has a baby of her own. She got pregnant at nineteen, with an unsupportive baby-daddy, and has spent the last seven years being a great mom and working her butt off to keep her bed & breakfast is fantastic shape. What she doesn't get much of is breaks. She is such a hard worker and is so committed to the things in her life, but she doesn't get a lot of time for just herself. So when the hot, sweet baseball player uses her inn to recoup from a shoulder injury, she finds herself sorely tempted to let lose a little. Especially because Rhys is amazing in just about every way. He's gorgeous, smart, loves her son, helps her around the place, and most of all, seems to have the hots for Gabby. Yet, Gabby hasn't had any romantic entanglements since she got pregnant with Sam and is unsure how to flirt and accept his flirting. It turns into a cute tale of Gabby getting her sea legs for dating and being in a relationship and Rhys being there by her side through anything. He knows she's not weak, but sometimes needs some support to let her strength show through, but also regenerate after a tough day.

This was yet another nice and sweet romance from Kristen Proby. There wasn't a lot of drama by way of conflicts. It was all very realistic and romantic. It seems that the author is more consistently sliding her writing style into this more endearing romance than the edgier tune her first books were. Personally, I like a bit of edge and grit, even if it comes with unrealistic drama. So these books are beginning to push my boundaries a bit. However, Kristen Proby is still great at crafting a cohesive and seamless plot that may not always be intriguing, but is always interesting, so I'll keep reading.

The next book is set to be about Declan, the protective, yet sensitive brother. He's a musician and can't seems to get Callie, a local club owner out of his head, despite her apparent lack of interest. Sounds fairly unoriginal, but should still hold entertainment just the same.
