Finally starting this series after buying all the books years ago! They even have new paper editions now lol
I decided to read this part first even though it was the last one to be published, I like to read things chronologically 😋
It follows Morrighan and Jafir’s relationship and their journey to finding a place to live without the fear of starvation and attacks. Can’t wait to start the next book, I want to see who brings hope in the future✨

I’m not sure if it’s fair to rate this novella given that I have absolutely no idea what the series is about? Maybe i’ll reread it later on if i enjoy the series. This was short and cutesy, the two characters kept coming across one another and falling in love and then ??? betrayal? i don’t really know but this was short and interesting. Here’s the hoping I enjoy the series.

A nice edition to a pretty solid series! This takes place way before the events of book 1, so it's not a must read if you want to skip it. But, it was very enjoyable and always nice to get extra details from the world of the Remnant Chronicles.
For what it was, it was enjoyable. Part of me does wish that this had been a full book of its own though.
Em breve lerei As Crônicas de Amor e Ódio, porém decidi ler esse conto primeiro, para ir me ambientando a escrita da autora. Confesso que não gostei tanto quando achei que gostaria.
Veja bem, sei que se trata de um conto e por isso a história é mais curta e pro vezes não há espaço para desenvolver bem as personagens, suas personalidades e coisas do tipo.
No entanto, percebi que a autora demorou 80% do livro desenvolvendo exatamente isso que não dá tempo e colocou os acontecimentos finais da história para os últimos momentos de forma rápida e meio que jogada.
Sabe quando a história tá perto do fim e nada aconteceu, tá tudo em aberto e o autor decide só resolver tudo o mais rápido possÃvel? Foi assim que me senti. Reitero: eu sei que é só um conto e que a história vai ser melhor desenvolvida nos outros livros, eu sei. Ainda assim isso não me impede de achar o que achei.
Leitei os próximos livros e tenho quase certeza de que retornarei aqui para dizer que mudei de opinião. Veremos as cenas dos próximos capÃtulo?
