Honestly, I just wanted more Will and ranger's being ranger's. This being the last book (not counting the short stories) didn't make me think it would be mainly about Horace since he has been more of a sidecharacter so far. The book itself is enjoyable enough though, I just expected something else.

This is unfortunately the final book in a long and satisfying series of books. I have always been a huge fan of Rangers Apprentice, since the beginning. I’m sad to see the end. This book lived up to the expectations of its predecessors. It had a great new cast of characters, along with the old familiar ones. The story was written very well and the plot kept me wanting more. This is one of the few series that I actually want to read every time a new book comes out. There hasn’t been a single bad one in the series and this is one of the best books of the Rangers Apprentice series. Everything was wrapped up nice and neat. I can't wait to read the spin-off stories from Rangers Apprentice.

Pffff... co by tu o tej książce powiedzieć. Cudowny początek, nudnawy środek i genialna końcówka. Po 10 książkach liczę na większy rozlew krwii, ale cóż nie jest mi dane.
Another great story. Made me miss and want to go back to Japan super hard. I can’t believe that the series is technically over. I could just keep on going.
