I rarely give reviews this low and maybe I missed something or this hasn't aged well but these characters... Dude won't take no for an answer, girl won't let things go. Did not enjoy.
Good, with Quinn's usual depth of character and tension-filled plot, but I had a hard time getting over how controlling Robert was. Sheesh, give her a little space, dude.

So definitely read it before and it’s not that good. I’m not really chill on the amount of guilt trip involved😵💫
The male character is wildly immature and waving red flags all over. I usually love Julia Quinn's novels but this is a total miss.
This story has love at first sight and then separates the main characters due to misunderstandings. I knew that going in and found this a quick read.
Definitely not her best. It's a little over the top and lacks her trademark humor.

The writing was gorgeous as always, but Robert’s behaviour was disgusting, even if Victoria had gone after him for his fortune, would anyone want to marry a man that became that bitter and vindictive? He was nothing short of a stalker, the lovebombing, manipulation, etc, was horrid.
