I’ve wanted to read this for ages and wasnt disappointed! Whilst i resonated with some parts more than others, i see it as a book i can revisit sections of when i need to in future, as tools to practice. There are a few parts that once you’ve read them, you won’t be able to see the same way again- for example the inner voice. Loses one star as some parts I found couldve had more examples to try as i struggled to just accept them but overall a very good book

The psyche and consciousness are some of my favorite topics to talk about. I’ve been exploring a lot more of my spirituality lately and I think this book really resonated with me. It was a super interesting psychology meets spirituality book, and reminds me of a “more religious” (and overall better message tbh) version of The Secret by Rhonda Byrne lol
Overall really interesting message and points of view that I hadn’t thought about before - but also very long-winded and repetitive at times. Almost a 3-star because of that, but it being such a unique perspective that I really connected with bumped it up :)

kind of an odd self help book. basic theme is like… dont react! embrace your spirit. I think it’s possible to follow this advice but also really hard

While this definitely was repetitive at the end of end chapter, the concepts were great and something I'll return to often. I found the first few chapters to be the most impactful.
"You probably went through grade school, high school and college without anyone discussing the nature of consciousness."
This and a multitude of other well intentioned but false assumptions are posited by this author whose authorial voice is remeniscent of Woody Allen and Holden Caulfield.
