I thought this was a good book. I really enjoyed Isaac and Carter in the first book.

This one was a little different. We see more of Isaac's insecurities in this book. He's also really pretty awful to Carter for a lot of the book. Don't get me wrong, I understand why Isaac is having some issues.

Carter is very patient with Isaac. He really does have Isaac's best interest at heart. I'm glad Isaac finally pulled his head out of his butt and realized it.

I loved getting more of Hannah and Carlos in this one.

The road to true love is never smooth and if one of the parties is Isaac, this is guaranteed! Although he and Carter have been together over a year, he is still insecure and manages to push Carter away and give him the silent treatment. Communication doesn't seem to be his strong point when emotions are involved!

In this story, a number of things happen which throw Isaac off-kilter. He is preyed upon for his blindness and insecurities start to appear. Although Carter loves him exactly how he is, Isaac starts to want more. He wants to be perfect for Carter, he wants to be able to see.

Carter, remains totally in love and fully supportive of Isaac, trying to balance caring and ensuring Isaac's safety, with giving him is independence.

Although frustrating in parts - you just want to shake the characters and tell them to start talking - there are some beautifully romantic moments between the two men.

"I'll never be able to see you."
I took his other hand, holding both in mine. "You do see me. No one has ever seen me like you do." I lifted his hands to his face. "You know me, you see me, like no one else."
"Not through my eyes."
"No," I agreed quietly. "You see me with your heart"

"Carter," Isaac said gruffly, making me look back to him. "I'm not perfect, although you seem to think I am, I can tell you I'm not. But with everything I am , I am yours."

This story has a glorious, totally romantic, happy ending!

I still want to punch Isaac in the face 90% of the time, but this book was one giant feels-fest and I loved it (big, melodramatic Hollywood ending and all).

First book by this author that I don't love the MCs... or love in general. The whole Issac making the same mistakes as the previous book didn't sit right with me. It felt like he didn't really learn from his previous mistakes specifically when Issac said terrible things to Carter and Carter pretty much forgave him. It was a toxic relationship. I love flawed characters that over the course of the book change into better people and I didn’t get that from this book. Whenever Hannah said that Issac loved Carter I scoffed because you don't treat people you love like Issac treats Carter or Hannah when they fight. And the ended was not satisfying.  The author just glossedover many things.

Also, I don't know if this is good or bad disability rep.

It's been a while since I read [b:Blind Faith|17450677|Blind Faith (Blind Faith, #1)|N.R. Walker|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1362048638s/17450677.jpg|23634287], but it didn't take any effort to fall right into this book. Isaac and Carter certainly don't have a perfect relationship, but things have been going pretty good up until this point, when a new "friend" shows up in Isaac's life. The conflict was just heart-breaking, because it was so easy to see both sides of the argument. I'm not ashamed to admit that I spent the last quarter of this book crying. It's so wonderful to see them get their "final" happy ending.
