Another unique situation for our characters to manage. I liked the change up with the ‘mates’ format. Still loving this series. Steamy scale 3.5 of 5 (Audible)

Overall this was an ok read, but the drama just didn't do it for me. The bad guys, to me, made no sense and could've been a lot better.
The romance.... Was good but lacking.
My favorite parts were the fighting and reading about the kids in the pack.

The broody Tao finally gets his happy ending with Riley, the raven shifter that recently joined the pack.

The two of them had a pretty rocky start, what with Tao insisting that she leave their territory, while Riley refused to give anyone any explanations regarding her past.

Time and the pull they both felt, eventually led to a drunken one night stand that was the beginning to a relationship they both secretly wanted.

A story following in the same tone as the previous books, heavy on the steamy scenes and with a hint of mystery to keep things interesting. This one is about
Spoilera drug lord who is trying to force Taryn to heal his terminally ill brother and someone from Riley's old flock who, seeing her again when she visited for her uncles' anniversary, snapped and decided she needed Riley to die
.

The series continues with Trick's story in [b:Wild Hunger|37975248|Wild Hunger (The Phoenix Pack #7)|Suzanne Wright|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1516121961s/37975248.jpg|59697840] as well as in the spin-off series that focuses on the Mercury Pack wolves.

I switched between the audiobook (80%) and ebook (20%). I really enjoy the narrator for this series she does an excellent job. It was an enjoyable read that entertained me.

This is probably my least favorite of the series to date. I didn't necessarily dislike it, it just didn't hold up to the other books in the series. I liked Riley and Tao well enough, but neither of them really pulled me in. The Ravens aren't my favorite shifters and the suspense plot didn't work.

2.5 stars

I'm just kind of tired of the usual female bullying that is abundant in this series. It's not just an instance, it's sprinkled throughout the book. It was ok the first time. It started to grow old around book 3. Why does every older female in this series have to be a jerk? (I refuse to use the word bitch because that's all that is used to described them by Ms. Wright herself. It's nauseating.) I'm just done. The insta relationship that you don't really see the start of for THIS book makes the story drag. It's BAM. It's there and not a lot of explaining or whooing involved. Just endless drama from other parties to move the story along. I know. This is particular series that has a formula. Either you like it or you don't. I just don't anymore.

This book was alright, not one of my favorites. Tao has been one of my favorite characters throughout these books but something about this book just didnt do it for me. I'm rereading this series now and I havent decided whether I will be rereading this one or not yet. Over all though it's alright. If your reading the books for the first time I would say read it because it's a part of the series. 3 stars.

I like this more than the 3rd, 4th, 5th books, but seriously… where have all the angst gone to? It started straight up with them banging each other. I need it from the beginning ugh

It was good but i hated how there wasnt a big reaction from Riley after learning that Tao wanted to imprint on his alpha female. Like its not just he had a crush on her, he fucking wanted her as his mate and no one told Riley about it. It should have been a big deal and more grovelling from Tao and others for not telling her.

Everyone was angry at Greta for telling Riley but if she didnt then no one would have. I thought Greta did the right thing by telling them, Riley should be angry at Tao and others instead of Greta.

Riley is a woman who tries hard to push people away when letting them in would be so much easier. Tao is a man who wants to just see how things go until Riley makes him want more. I enjoyed the banter between these two a lot. They work very well together. The kids are adorable. The action was crazy. The love story was fierce. This is very spicy! I highly recommend this.
