I resonated SO much with this and truly believe it should be a prerequisite for couples counseling lol. I wish I found this book sooner.
There were a few typos in this that were distracting but it was a good enough read for me to forgive them!

An eye-opening read that helps make sense of why we are the way we are. It delves into how our childhood attachments shape the adults we become, and how our stress responses affect the way we connect with ourself and others. I’d recommend it to anyone curious about understanding themselves on a deeper level.
Blinkist review: This is a good basic summary of the beginnings of doing deeper work on the self. It is written in a comprehensive and accessible way.

Dr. LePera's work was recommended to me a few years ago by a friend who is also a therapist. I find her writing and messages inspiring. I can imagine reading this again in a year or two and finding new inspiration for connecting to authentic self.

I follow the holistic psychologist on IG and decided to give this book a go. I'm glad I did. It has definitely helped me better understand a lot of my trauma bonds growing up. I definitely related to some of the stories about her clients and was very informative. I'm excited to read Dr. LePera's other book and have started to recommend this book to friends and family.
