I really wanted to love this one, and it started off so strong, but both the characters and story fell flat for me. I liked the premise, but I felt like the characters were pretty one-note, and by the end, I just wasn't super invested

I really enjoyed the second half of the book 3 stars because I almost DNFED the book after 170 pages. The first half was slow and tropie to me but I plan to read the next book in the series

Oh my god I loved this book! Kell and Delilah Bard were delightful. Lila was the ruthless, cunning thief after my own heart, and the descriptions of how Kell used his magic as an Antari were *chefs kiss* perfect. Also also, let's talk about Kell's character design. I could picture him so clearly in my mind - one eye of inky black and one of the brightest blue, auburn hair shielding the black one, his coat with numerous sides. Great stuff. Holland, the other Antari who serves the court of White London, was an amazing character. Everything in White London played like a movie in my head, the imagery was so good.

The world building with the 4 separate but connected Londons (Grey - like ours, Red - Kell's, White - creepy af, and Black - DEAD) was simply extraordinary! Or in Lila's words: “There’s Dull London, Kell London, Creepy London, and Dead London,” she recited, ticking them off on her fingers. “See? I’m a fast learner.” The writing and fantasy world were great fun. I highly recommend reading this!

I enjoyed the characters and thought the plot was intriguing - I loved the idea of the different Londons.
