The story starts when Braelynn starts working at Declan’s club after standing on her own two feet, but this is not the first time they met. However, this time they are not hiding their feelings. I like that Braelynn knew a side of Declan before he turned into the man he is today. After Braelynn started working at the club, Declan realizes there is a mole in his organization and has to figure out who it is. We finally get to see what led to the prologue towards the end of the book, but it does end of a cliffhanger.

the romance was okay i guess, but the mystery aspect is keeping me reading

Redacted review because I no longer support the author
medium-paced

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I felt the story was kind of choppy. I need more background on both the FMC and MMC. I understand this is the first in the series, so hopefully I’ll get more info on them with the next book. There were a couple scenes that I thought were hot, but wish there was more detail. Overall, in my opinion, it wasn’t as spicy as I would have liked. I love a possessive MMC with questionable morals but I want to know why he is the way he is so that I can support him. It was a very fast read! Hopefully I’ll get my questions answered in the next book.
