I knew this was going to happen. Reading the first page of a willow winters book, it grabs your attention. But those endings, they hurt your soul. Now I am desperately stuck waiting to find out what happens!
GAH I loved Carter's book. He made me fall in love with the Cross family and this world. But Declan might have taken over the top spot! I couldn't stop reading this book. Everything about it just kept me hooked. And the spice!!! Yes please! Definitely did not see that twist coming at the end and now I need to know what happens next!
If you haven't read this book, what are you waiting for?

Can I have my own Declan, please! Although I did really enjoy the story, it did take me a bit to get into it. The book was definitely steamy and the end had me begging to know what happened next. I did quite enjoy that their relationship is going slow, I find most bdsm books I read just jump straight into more heavier things even when the girl is new to it.
“If you don’t heal what hurt you, you will bleed on people who didn’t cut you.”

What, how can it end like that. Why would you so that to me. lol. This is a must read. One you won't be able to put down.
This is my second Willow Winters book. The first one was Bought part of the Highest Bidder collection and I found it very formulaic and couldn’t wait for the end. I always give authors a second try and I’m happy I did in this case.
It took me a little bit to get into this book, mainly because I didn’t find Braelynn relatable. She has come from an abusive relationship where she still has some trauma, but she is still trusting of those around her. For example she lets Scarlet go through her texts when she is in established situation with Declan. All the while knowing that Declan is a criminal, but she is just so happy to do “normal” girl things.
I like Declan overall. I think that he is a good judge of people. I like that he thinks of how to ease Braelynn’s worries by sending things that he means as a thank you, or bringing Chinese when he crossed her lines. I don’t like that they did not have a clear contract and based their relationship off of teenage feelings.
I am looking forward to reading book 2.
I received a free copy of this novel by the author in exchange for an honest review.

This wasn’t bad… but it didn’t really captivate me either.
I’m a way, there were things I liked and appreciated and things I didn’t.
I loved the FL’s empathy. How she was just so naturally sensitive and intuitive. Her being reserved and quite because of her own self doubts was something super relatable. Her loyalty to her man in pretending she knew nothing, in letting none of his world seep too deeply into her psyche- at least, I think so, I started to skim somewhere in the middle.
I also enjoyed that the ML seemed (not that I’m an expert in anyway) like a very good Dom. The aftercare was tenement and at the forefront of his mind after nearly ever scene. It was really, really great to see.
I think where it started to lose me a bit was the drama. The plot twist with the FL potentially being a spy. At even 30% of the way in it felt silly to me as a reader after getting to know her she would be anything of the sort. While I can respect the ML’s mistrust and caution I think there are far too many times she proves herself over and over again that she really shouldn’t be being looked at as a traitor. (But again, I’m not 100% on that statement as I only got to maybe 60% way through.)
The only other thing I have to knock was the spice. I honestly wished it was spicier. Considering where the Main Characters work and what sort of thing they like when they play I was ready for much more heat. I’m not saying an overkill or black belt amount of spice was due here- but for sure more than it was. They’re intimacy never really hooked me into feeling like it was helping, hurting or doing really much of anything to drive home their relationship, strengthen their bonds or convey deep emotions words could not. And I really think I needed that.
Both of these characters are already so obsessed with the person they USED to know. A version of themselves from their shared past they still remember fondly. Meeting again in the future as adults isn’t nearly as sparky or interesting because they’re both so into the very idea of each other already that there’s nothing much earnestly separating them. Creating friction or intrigue to follow along with as they discover who the other is NOW in the present.
It’s an odd knock I’m sure but I was still bummed to not feel more for these intriguing characters.

Holy shit! This book was amazing! The highs and lows that Brae went through blew my mind. How Declean was like so dark but so sweet to just her. Best thing ever! And the spice, baby! The spice was outta this world. W. Winters definitely knows what we need when it comes to this genre! Their relationship was a rollercoaster of emotions that I would definitely ride again! Wowza! I gave this book four stars only because of the cliff hanger! I absolutely detest them but understand that sometimes they are needed! Lol would definitely recommend this to my DARK romance readers. Keep an eye on triggers and read on!!!
Braelynn is trying to get back on her feet after splitting from her ex. With the help of a friend, she lands a cocktail waitress job that could be the answer to all her troubles. Except in walks the owner, Declan Cross. Suddenly Braelynn finds herself under his spell. And what a spell it is.
This was my first W. Winters book and I definitely am asking for more! **Warning: some very explicit sexual content. Not for the faint of heart reader** Winters created quite an attractive "hero" of the story in Declan. He takes what he wants and takes very good care of his woman. I think we all can use a little more Declan in our lives. I love the flow of the story and learning about Braelynn's story interwoven with Declan's. I actually read this in one afternoon, unable to look away. I will be looking for other works by W. Winters and will be recommending Tease Me Once to my spicy book readers. 5 stars for me.

Story went pretty quickly, wish there was more of a build up or background. FMC fell for Declan very quickly, no chase at all. Spice was great.
Omg I need book 2 RIGHT NOW.
Willow… thank you for the ARC but how dare you with that ending.
