✨ARC Review✨

“The Club is his world. I feel that same pull to him that I did on the playground all those years ago. It’s a dangerous, forbidden curiosity. We’re not kids anymore, and I know better than to trust men like him. Especially men with power.”

This is not your average romantic fairy tale. It is dark, forbidden, and dangerous, and it is good! “The Club” owned by Declan Cross is a mainstay for the wealthy sinners. It’s walls hold business deals, contracts, secrets, drinks at the bar, entertainment on the stage, and the indulgence of sex and other fantasies in the rooms on the lowest level of the club.

Tease Me Once is the first book of the Shame On You series, and be prepared for a cliffhanger, it came out of nowhere! I was immersed and wanting more!

What I Loved:
-Dual POV (Declan & Braelynn)
-the color coding of the dresses and their meanings for the waitresses/entertainment of the club
-the longing connection Braelynn felt towards Declan when they were in high school, they have a history
-both main characters are very broken, they have their own problems and have both experienced loss and hurt in the past, in different ways. All of these connections brings them together in some cryptic ways

The only reason this wasn’t five stars for me was because it felt like some parts were too closely related to the Fifty Shades books. There are an abundance of dominance, submission scenes, and it works in this book because of how it shapes the characters. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this first book, and I am very excited for the next one to see how the story unfolds!

⚠️CW/TW: murder, mention of death of a parent, domestic violence, violence, extreme sexual content⚠️

Oh Declan Cross how sexy, dark and intense are you?! This book was absolute FIRE, holy hell I was fanning myself. Could not put the book down. And that ending WTF!!!!! My poor kindle almost met the wall, need the next book ASAP!!!!

The cliffhanger was the best part of this book. Lol It had a couple good spicy scenes, but not much substance otherwise. Also it felt like a stretch for them to say that they “knew” each other when all they ever did was stare at each other a couple times in high school.

Am I obsessed with Declan Cross? Yes, yes I am. I freaking loved this book even though that CLIFFHANGER. yes I knew a cliffy was coming but WOW. Can I have the next book now?

Every time I read a new story in the Merciless world, I fall in love with another dark hero. This dark and twisty story will have you tearing through the pages, and just when you think things are settling down, Willow rips the rug out from under you. And the ending was a brilliantly diabolical cliffhanger that I simultaneously LOVED and hated. I didn’t throw my Kindle, but it was a close call and I can’t WAIT to see what happens next.

Declan and Braelynn are just delicious together. I loved how she embodies a submissive character who has a backbone. Declan is both ruthless and powerful, but has a caring side that comes out for Braelynn. Braelynn is hired as a waitress in The Club unbeknownst to Declan, who runs the Cross family business from his office in the basement. This is not just an upscale club. It offers a variety of services from a secure place to have secret and shady meetings to a place where one can explore the darker sides of their desires. He remembers her from their shared childhood, they went to school together, and they are both instantly attracted to one another. Additionally, the Cross brothers have a mole in their organization and to keep their families and business safe, they must find out who is leaking information to the wrong people. Suspicions are investigated and from here, the plot escalates.

The chemistry throughout this story is off the charts hot. Their intimate scenes are plentiful and intense, without taking away from the overall plot of the story. I love how each character is torn about their relationship but they can’t help their attraction to one another. Willow can write steam that will have you clutching your pearls with a dirty smile on your face. This dark romance is everything you want and then it gives you more. As soon as you dive into it, you’ll turn pages faster and faster and before you know it, you’ll be at the end and wanting more. The next in the series will be well worth waiting for.

This book was just amazing and yes the spice was very very good. There was instant lust and I like that more than instant love. I love the way he comforts her, and the softness of him. It was just the perfect amount of darkness and sweetness. Really brought me out of my book slump. The true sign of romance is murder right? I don’t want to give to much away but just wow. I need the next one! Amazing! Declan and Braelynn have things that need to deal with for sure but this book was amazing! The cliffhanger really got me

Well hell I did not expect this super smutty romance book to end on a crazy cliffhanger but here we are and I am invested.
Poor Braelynn (spelling?) blindsided by her best friend, poor Declan caught between maybe the only person he's ever loved (pined for at least) and his major major trust issues.

Ready for part 2!
