My daughter (5 1/2) loves these books and was really excited to learn about the man who created Disneyland. I learn a bunch too as I didn't really know much about his life. I love how he failed so much but didn't give up and hope innovative he and his team of animators were. Good read!
This book about Walt Disney's life was well written and informative. However, he just isn't one of my favorite subjects to read about, only because while the impact he had on animation and children's entertainment cannot be denied, he wasn't really someone that I admire. I think kids will find this book to be a great summary of his life and achievements. It also provides some important background about some of the things happening during the lifetime, such as WWI and WWII.

I'm starting an 880 page bio on Disney, so I read the kids' version first to get some background. It didn't really tell me anything I didn't already know from Disney World. But it's cute and good for kids.

Biography, this could be used in any grade between 3-8. I think kids would really like this because it has amusing pictures and it is about a really interesting character!
