I've had this book on my TBR for over a year. When I found it on Book Outlet, I thought it was meant to be. But no, it was not. I can't tell you what the point of this book even was. 5 characters go to the same school, interact sometimes, but generally live very separate lives. They don't really develop at all, even though this book takes place over 4 years! Whenever something that appeared to potentially be a conflict presented itself, we would jump to another character in another month and then whatever was about to happen would already be resolved. So, honestly, nothing happened. I finished the book, which counts for something, but I didn't take a single life lesson from this story sooooo I don't think I'd recommend it.

this book wanted so much to happen in such a short amount of time. i think five narratives is a lot for any book, but stretched out across 4 years? way too much. i never felt a true connection to any of the characters, because each time is started to their chapters would be over! the only good thing about the short chapters was how fast i could read this book. because literally every other page is a blank page lol. also not to mention how unrealistic these characters are; they're supposed to be high schoolers but the way these characters acted felt like this should've been set in middle school. i think this book could've had more potential if each year was split up into an individual point of view, not all of them at once. or set in middle school so it was only 3 years and the characters actually seemed fit for their age!

This book, this book, words can't even describe my love for this book. Right from the start when I first discovered this book, and read the synopsis I knew I would love it. Seeing these characters over the course of 4 years I knew would be incredible and I knew I would love it. And the length was another reason I loved it. I just fell in love with this book from the start. It was a little different than I was expecting but it was amazing. I knew I would love it when I read Jake's name and started crying. The characters were spectacular and I have a special place in my heart for all of them. Jake was probably my favorite out of the group. He was too cute and he is like my child. When he was hurt I was mad and when he was happy, I was happy. I loved him and his character development was amazing. I was so proud and happy for him. Zoe, I really liked the entire book, except the end she annoyed me a little, but I really loved her character. Her friendship with Jake was so cute and unexpected but I loved it. Two of my favorite characters in a friendship, I love! Gregor was a great character and he character development was one of my favorites. He was so different from freshman to senior year and was so cool to see how he got there. His crush to actual relationship with Whitney was so adorable. Whitney was a really great character and I loved how even though she was popular she wasn't like her friends. She had strong development as well and was a different person from freshman/sophomore to senior year. Mia was my least favorite out of 5. She just wasn't my favorite, but her character development was so amazing. She went from an insecure girl, to being the confident valedictorian at graduation. It was incredible to read about. One aspect about this book that I loved was that everything was connected. Something would happen in the chapter from a persons pov and in the next chapter you would find out from a different persons pov. It was so cool to read. This book was pretty long and I was able to read it in less than a day. I didn't try to finish it, it's just so hard to put down and the chapters and years would just fly by. Overall it was such a cool, inspiring, and a great read!

I don't really know about this book. I was so into the concept. I LOVED the prologue, it held so much intrigue and I was so excited. But throughout the book, I couldn't bring myself to care for any of the characters and the book failed to provoke any sort of emotional reaction in me. On the other hand, I was glued to it and couldn't stop reading. It was a bit of a weird reading experience.
I really liked the overall concept that was in the synopsis of the book, but the actual story didn't really feel all that interesting. I know that it's hard to write five different stories that span all across four years, but I didn't feel connected to the characters and everything felt rushed and unfinished. It was kind of just meh to me, but there were a few parts that were a little bit interesting.

Too much story in too few pages. Every time something happened I wanted more details. I almost wished it were just a longer book--much longer, I suppose--because the idea was very fun. It was a little gross in some parts.

This was great! I read the whole thing in four hours.
It was good, a lighthearted read, and it was also a very quick read! It was very addicting to ready, and I couldn't put it down, although the ending was not as dramatic as I was expecting from the summery on the inside cover.
I was very hesitant when starting this book because it has five POVs, which can be a little difficult to keep track of, especially when the segments for each character are so short. I really wasn't expecting to enjoy this but, but I did! I found the beginning a little slow, but as they all drew closer to graduation day they seemed to be more fully-formed and relatable characters. All-in-all, a really good book in my opinion. Each character is relatable in their own way, and while the book is heartbreaking at moments it can also highlight one of the better aspects of high school: friendships.
