The Fault in Our Stars

This book is amazing. It has everything, from the classic flirty kind of humor to those long paragraphs that make you cry so much you hit yourself with the book. John Green is a genius, and this book is his best. It teaches so many things essential in life. I read it four or even five times and watched the movie twice, cried so hard the first two times I read it, everything was just amazing. Yeah, hitting yourself in the face with a shovel doesn't hurt as much as the ending of this book. Did I mentioned I read it like 5 times ?

This is a truly great book. I actually burst into tears more than once, which has almost never happened to me while reading. Fantastic.

John Green has written a brilliant fiction novel. Even though the book talks about teenagers, I believe it is suited to every age.
The main character of the book is Hazel, a seventeen year old girl with a terminal form of cancer that has left her some spare time. Hazel has a great sense of humour and not much of a social life, or of a life in general for that matter. All this changes when he meets Augustus Waters, cancer survivor, at a support group. The Fault In Our Stars is a genius. heartbreaking story.
emotional

I wasn't sure what to expect from TFiOS but I liked it. I expected it to be sad and depressing all the way through being a story about cancer.
I liked how it was written. I liked the storyline.

It was romantic and gave happiness to Hazel Grace and Augustus when they needed it. John Green managed to make a horrible illness, a blessing, especially in this book.

Just be wary of chapter 21. Thats when everything changes. Spoiler Alert-you will cry, although I actually didn't. It didn't get to me like I thought it would.

It didn't get to me emotionally and although I feel this let the book down, I'll re-read it after the movie comes out. I didn't love it. I liked it. It was alright :)

I'm afraid to tell you what I thought of this book. I want you to read it, and I want you to have every shot at loving it just as much as I did. But if I tell you the TRUTH ... my zeal for this book will overwhelm you and you won't give the book a fresh read. (Stop there, TONI, and anyone else who is disinclined to love a book just because someone else loved it overmuch.)

Here's the truth: This book completely wrecked me, on every level: as a mom, as a person in love, as a reader (because I might never read something this good again), and as a writer (I will never ever write anything 1/10 as good; I'm not whining, it's just the truth). John Green is brilliant. He's nerd-smart and deep and gets everything perfectly right. He's written other books. He doesn't have to. He can rest on his laurels with just this one and never lift a finger again. I am going to sit on my hands now, because otherwise, I might never stop.

Haven't read a book that made me feel so much in so little amount of time.
