plot seems good but the writing style is shit
fast-paced

I didn’t enjoy this book. There is no character personality or development. The plot is not detailed enough, there is too many time jumps and the smut made me cringe.

Off the Charts Hot & Steamy

After thoroughly enjoying the “Frisky Beavers”, books by Sadie Haller, I knew when this book was an option it had to added to my reading list. My instincts didn’t disappoint once again. The story is a HEA romance with BDSM kink dynamics that aren’t for the faint of heart. If you like reading about the S&M power exchange, understand that it is consensual between two adults and ups the steam factor in the story, this is a book you’ll enjoy. Whew, it is off the charts H-O-T!!

This didn't do much for me. I needed more story--like the fixer aspect was the most intriguing part of the entire book.
lighthearted fast-paced

Pacing felt off, and too many time jumps with not enough character development meant I didn't find their relationship believable. I'd honestly have been more interested in reading more on Mel's job, especially as so many calls and cases came up that sounded like they'd be a plot point, just to never get mentioned again.

Unfortunately I did not enjoy this book. I found myself reading it just so it would be over. I did consider not finishing it, but wanted to see if it would get better (it didn’t). The main issues to me were the pacing in the book (lots of time skips), stilted dialogue, and uninspiring characters.
