My 7th grader had to read to this for ELA and I read it as well. It was a very inspiring story. Heartbreaking at certain parts, but a wonderful story about the hardships the characters had to deal with living in Southern Sudan during the war and still dealing with today.
We were so intrigued by Salva, main character, that we did some research into him and his foundation. Such a wonderful story about never giving up on hope.
